Financial Recovery Specialist

Rate of Pay: from $21.86 per hour

Location: Main branch (Kahului)
Shift and Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Position Overview: Collects, recovers charged-off loans and shares and processes delinquent loans and shares to minimize losses to the credit union while providing excellent member service.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus. Working experience as a debt collection specialist or similar role. Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques. Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g., FDCPA) Must have working knowledge of MS Office and databases. Comfortable working with objectives. Patience and ability to manage stress. Excellent communication and people skills. Apt in negotiating and persuading.

Job Requirement: Must be able to commute to other branches on short notice as directed by management.

Position Overview: First point of contact for our members. You will assist members with their financial needs, answer inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. No experience is necessary, but customer and cash handling experience are helpful. Previous work experience at a financial institution is preferred. Must have good communication and basic math skills. Able to work well in a team environment. Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
